Hybrid rock chaos technicians Suspended 4th have dropped Goodbye My Roots — “farewell to my roots” — a 14-track second full album that sounds like a Nagoya amp lab discovering slap bass nitro and feeding it to a prog-rock motherboard. The record expands the aggressive edge of “SUNBURST” and “My Syntax,” crossing hardcore, funk, metal, and math-rock with enough groove circuitry to make a pedalboard file a noise complaint. The album is also available as a 2CD edition with a full instrumental disc, because apparently regular fretboard wizardry was not nerdy enough.
