Ura-kawaii metal and cyber metalcore exit sleep mode as NEON ONI boot up “wake up, it’s time…”, a live-lyric transmission packed with electronic static, hostile riffs and enough breakdown torque to restart a deceased operating system. The title literally means “Wake up—it is time…,” although the guitars interpret that less as a gentle alarm and more as an oni smashing the snooze button with a motherboard.
Filmed during a performance at Shimokitazawa MOSAiC in Tokyo, the video captures the project’s machine-born concept mutating into a very physical live organism—new musicians, human sweat and zero factory-reset options. The track is currently presented as a brand-new song.
