Slang rock collides with high-spec technical J-rock as NEK! unleash a live video for “zero-sum”, whose title describes the game-theory nightmare in which somebody’s victory must be paid for by somebody else’s defeat. Captured during the band’s sold-out first Zepp headline show at Zepp Shinjuku on August 30, 2025, the performance boots up with Kanade’s slap bass sounding like a mainframe being attacked with four highly caffeinated fingers.
Originally the lead track from the 2025 EP TR!CK TAK!NG, “zero-sum” receives no anime or television cheat code; this is pure live-circuit voltage. The clip also previews the complete concert footage included with both limited editions of the forthcoming major-label EP B!NARY, arriving September 2, 2026.
