Slang rock collides with alternative-rock circuitry on NEK!’s MAGiC VoX (“Magic Voice”), a hyperactive digital exorcism built for anyone whose brain currently has 87 browser tabs open. Formed through social media and based around Tokyo’s live circuit, the four-piece turns internet language, technical musicianship and gloriously human chaos into its own self-declared microgenre.
The lyrics dive into information overload, online conspiracies, empty expertise and algorithm-fed noise—even cheekily dragging “Chappie” into the data storm—before escaping through dance beats, rock rhythms and a properly combustible killer tune. In other words, MAGiC VoX does not unplug the internet; it feeds the router through a distortion pedal until the machines remember who invented rock.
Released digitally on July 29, 2026, the song is the second major-label single and track three on the five-song major-debut EP B!NARY, scheduled for September 2.
