Mikumo to Graduate From Wagamaki Amid Medical Treatment

by | Sep 3, 2026 | NEWS | 0 comments

Mikumo will graduate from idol group Wagamaki (ワガマき/ワガママきいて??) amid renewed treatment for Hodgkin lymphoma, according to an announcement published by the group on September 2.

Management said Mikumo had been on extended medical leave since November 2025 because of illness. She returned to activities in July 2026, but a subsequent medical examination detected Hodgkin lymphoma again.

Mikumo will take another break from group activities while undergoing treatment. She may still participate in selected performances after consulting her doctor and assessing her condition.

The announcement provisionally lists appearances around the group’s September 21 engagement at Lake Yamanaka and its October 8 series of solo concerts. Management stressed that these plans remain subject to change.

A graduation performance is being considered for late October. Its date and venue will be determined with Mikumo’s health in mind, meaning the details may be announced at short notice.

The group also asked fans not to question other members about Mikumo’s condition during meet-and-greet events or livestreams. Enquiries should instead be directed to management.

Mikumo acknowledged the announcement through her personal X account. However, the precise schedule for her remaining appearances and graduation concert had not been confirmed at the time of publication.
