MELT-BANANA Launches 15-Date US Coast-to-Coast Tour

Tokyo noise-rock duo MELT-BANANA has begun its SLinGShot Tour 2026, a 15-date journey across the United States running from September 1 to September 27.

The tour opened at Harlow’s in Sacramento, California, before continuing through Salt Lake City, Denver, Kansas City, Denton, Austin, Atlanta, Brooklyn and Cleveland Heights. The closing stretch will visit Chicago, Albuquerque, Phoenix, San Diego and Los Angeles before concluding at San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall.

Two festival appearances are included in the itinerary. MELT-BANANA will perform at Levitation Festival in Austin on September 11 before appearing on the Riot Stage at Chicago’s Riot Fest on September 19. The band is scheduled to begin its Riot Fest performance at 1:35 p.m.

MELT-BANANA currently operates as the duo of vocalist Yako and guitarist Agata. Formed in Tokyo during the early 1990s, the group has developed an international following through its collision of noise rock, hardcore punk, electronic experimentation and tightly controlled high-speed arrangements.

The tour follows the 2024 release of 3+5, MELT-BANANA’s first studio album in 11 years. After completing the US dates, the duo will begin a Nordic and Central European tour on October 30, followed by a Tokyo performance at Shibuya WWW on November 10.
