Alternative rock with hard-edged riffs and punk-adjacent circuitry powers MARKET SHOP STORE’s Mudboat, a farewell vessel apparently constructed without consulting either naval engineers or emotional-safety inspectors. The four-track release carries COMPLE and Mudboat, followed by instrumental versions of both—less a conventional EP than a final single with its engine compartment left open for examination.
Released on July 29, 2026, Mudboat also launches the band’s final tour, which concludes at Shibuya Chelsea Hotel on September 13—their tenth anniversary and announced disbandment date. The title is almost cruelly perfect: a boat made of mud should sink immediately, yet MARKET SHOP STORE intends to leave one last extremely loud wake behind it.
