Kuroyume return with a thunderous dose of visual kei and alternative rock nostalgia on 「少年 2026」 (Shōnen 2026 / “Boy 2026”), a newly reimagined version of one of the band’s most iconic songs. Like swapping a beloved vintage Marshall stack for a meticulously restored custom build, the track preserves the emotional DNA of the 1998 original while injecting it with a sharper 2026-era sonic punch. The music video revisits the song’s enduring themes of youth, memory, and longing, transforming “Boy 2026” into both a reflection and a resurrection. The release also serves as a gateway to the upcoming self-cover album 『CORKSCREW 2026』, scheduled for July 15, 2026, alongside companion release 『Drug TReatment 2026』, each rebuilding classic Kuroyume material with modern production while retaining the grit that helped define an era of Japanese rock. The band originates from Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture.
