Galileo Galilei once again prove why shimmering indie rock can hit harder than a wall of distortion with 「木漏れ日坂」 (Komorebi-zaka / “Sunlight Filtering Through the Trees Hill”), performed live during the band’s “NAKED HERO” tour at KT Zepp Yokohama. Originally written as the opening theme for the TV anime “Kujima Utaeba Ie Hororo” (“When Kujima Sings, the House Trembles”), the song balances luminous melodies with bittersweet emotional gravity, soaring like a migratory bird riding a perfectly timed updraft, a fitting nod to the imagery woven into both the anime and the music video. Formed in Wakkanai, Hokkaido, the band continues to refine its unmistakable cinematic sound without sacrificing the restless curiosity that has defined every era of its career. The live video captures Galileo Galilei at full emotional voltage: less stadium bombast, more heart-through-vacuum-tubes brilliance. The song is tied to the TV anime “Kujima Utaeba Ie Hororo”, and no upcoming EP or album has been announced alongside this release.
