The alternative punk rock outfit Sai Man Shura Boh (最強マンボウ修羅ぼうや) have released their new album 逆アンガーマネジメント, a chaotic, cathartic dive into emotional contradiction and rebellious noise. The title translates to “Reverse Anger Management,” a playful spin on psychological self-regulation — as if therapy itself took a punk detour and started flipping tables.
Musically, 逆アンガーマネジメント pulls from a mix of punk rock’s raw energy and alternative textures, giving the band plenty of room to stretch between cutting riffs, cathartic shouts, and melodic weirdness. Tracks like “アウェイマン辞世” (a sprinting anthem of isolation) and “麻婆拳法斃炒飯” (featuring striking female chorus lines over aggressive grooves) showcase the band’s ability to channel humor and intensity without losing cohesion.
