Misshitsu-kei Visual Kei with alternative-rock wiring, KARISOME (カリソメ) opens the basement door to 笑顔矯正委員会 (Egao Kyōsei Iinkai – “Smile Correction Committee”)—a title that sounds like a government department designed by Kafka after discovering black eyeliner.
The three-track digital single pairs its wonderfully sinister title song with 黒い菌 (Kuroi Kin – “Black Fungus”) and a newly recorded KARISOME version of 溺れた心臓は僕と踊る (Oboreta Shinzō wa Boku to Odoru – “The Drowned Heart Dances with Me”), originally released during the band’s earlier 第Ø地下室 phase. Past and present therefore meet in the same damp cellar, exchange suspicious paperwork and immediately begin rehearsing. 笑顔矯正委員会 is officially presented as KARISOME’s fourth digital single.
