2000s-style alternative rock peers through seven different lenses on CLW’s first mini-album 観測者 (Kansokusha – “Observer”), a record that studies emotional malfunction from a clinically unsafe distance. The title reflects how each song appears to observe the self from above—as though anxiety, resignation and that one stubborn pixel of hope have been placed beneath an indie-rock microscope.
Released on July 29, 2026, the seven-track set moves from the dense guitar mass of K2 and 停滞前線 (Teitai Zensen – “Stationary Front”) to the lighter pulse of セカンドブルー (Sekando Burū – “Second Blue”) and アンフェア (Anfea – “Unfair”). 無限遠点 (Mugen Enten – “Point at Infinity”) introduces four-on-the-floor rhythm and synthesizers, while 右と左 (Migi to Hidari – “Right and Left”) drifts into spoken-word post-rock territory. The album’s most conspicuous laboratory mutation is time-cell, CLW’s first collaborative track, featuring rapper 黒さき拓海 (Kurosaki Takumi).
