Tokyo dance-rock quartet Wisteria gives digital-age romance a rhythm-section upgrade on 正解未満 (Seikai Miman)—literally “Short of the Correct Answer.” Released September 25 as their ninth single, it introduces the band’s self-described “BEATCORE”: dance propulsion and rock muscle, driven by clipped guitar rhythms and an animated bassline. Their first songwriting collaboration with KAZUKI, formerly of ゼリー→ and LAID BACK OCEAN, pairs that musical shift with vocalist Mii’s lyrics about online jealousy and the awkward courage of meeting face to face. The title leaves room to keep searching: love is still in beta, and the heart refuses to wait for a software update.
