Tokyo visual kei melodic speed metal band ValhallA has announced that guitarist ITARU will leave the group following its anniversary solo concert on Nov. 7 at Ikebukuro EDGE in Tokyo.
The band made the announcement on social media, thanking fans for their support over the past three and a half years and apologizing for the sudden notice.
ValhallA said it has two remaining live performances with its current four-member lineup. The first will take place on Oct. 24 at Kichijoji Crescendo, followed by the Nov. 7 anniversary show at Ikebukuro EDGE, which will be ITARU’s final performance with the band.
The Nov. 7 event will also include reservations for ITARU’s solo cheki, or instant-photo sessions, as well as what the band described as his final photo session as a member of ValhallA’s visual presentation.
The group said it cannot currently provide details about its future activities, even if inquiries are made to the management or members. It added that the members and staff are preparing for the Nov. 7 anniversary concert.
ValhallA currently features VanillA on vocals, ITARU on guitar, RUI on bass, and RYO and MAKI in supporting drum roles, according to the band’s social media profile.
