Tokyo avant-garde solo artist TREMBLING BAMBI brings alternative, hip-hop and J-pop into the same petri dish on last dance, released September 24 through k.entertainment. Behind the alias is Koichi Niiyama, whose MEJIBRAY and 8P-SB history gives discography detectives plenty of connecting cables—although this solo project is classified as non-Visual Kei. The recording credits offer another nerdy nugget: BAMBI handles lyrics and vocals, co-composes with uyori, and leaves mastering to that same collaborator. A familiar name with a different circuit diagram.
