Panic-rock trio すてぃぎもろく (Stygimoloch) dismantle seasonal nostalgia on 春を忘れるな！ (Haru wo Wasureru na! — “Don’t Forget Spring!”), released September 23. Their springtime inventory includes browning petals, increasingly active rats and suspicious strangers—the material that rarely survives the cherry-blossom montage. Think of it as the season’s deleted scenes, restored by musicians with a wicked sense of humour.
The clever bit is the title’s bait-and-switch: its apparently sentimental plea asks listeners to remember spring’s grubby details, too. Member Cota Naoi even recommends listening outside spring, making this autumn release part of the joke. Nostalgia has applied its beauty filter; Stygimoloch would like to inspect the original files.
