Pop-rock project shallm opens the teenage emotional archives on ANTI AFTER SCHOOL, a five-track concept EP released September 23. Vocalist and songwriter lia revisits the solitary hours after class, when the timetable stopped but the internal monologue kept doing overtime. Her first concept EP turns those personal memories into a message to her younger self, with artwork she illustrated herself: an imagined room containing fish, mushrooms and treasured comforts. For the sleeve-note obsessives, that makes the cover part of the autobiography. Adolescence gets its own concept record—and the illustrator knows precisely where the emotional skeletons are stored.
