Japanese idol group Scura has announced that it will suspend group activities due to difficulties with its current operating structure.
In a statement released on social media, Scura said the management situation has made it difficult for the group to continue its activities under the current system. As a result, the group will suspend all scheduled performances and other activities for the time being.
The announcement comes as Scura had been scheduled to perform at several events in October and November. Event listings currently show appearances planned for Oct. 4, Oct. 9, Oct. 10 and Oct. 14, as well as a member birthday event on Oct. 22 and a Tokyo-Nagoya-Osaka one-man tour beginning in November.
Scura said it apologizes to fans and everyone involved for the sudden announcement and asked supporters to continue watching over the group during the hiatus.
The statement also addressed member Nigero Dokuda separately, saying that the member will suspend individual activities for the time being. Details of future appearances and schedules will be announced through Scura’s official social media accounts.
Scura launched in 2025 and has been described as a “dark psychological” idol group. Its activities have included live performances, original releases and one-man tours.
The statement did not specify how long the group’s hiatus will last or provide a planned date for a return.
