Samesame Band Support Drummer to Leave at Year-End

by | Sep 30, 2026 | NEWS | 0 comments

Japanese band Samesame Band has announced that its support drummer, Shoto, will leave the group at the end of this year.

In a statement posted by the band, Samesame Band thanked fans for their continued support and said Shoto’s departure was prompted by the discovery of a romantic relationship within the band.

The band said it takes the situation seriously and that its members will work to prevent a similar incident from happening again.

Samesame Band also announced that a person identified as “穴” will take over as its support drummer from next year.

The group asked fans to continue supporting both Samesame Band and Shoto during the remaining period before his departure.

The announcement was made by Samesame Band on social media. No independent confirmation of the circumstances surrounding the departure was provided in the statement.
