RYUJIN

RYUJIN returned to Finland for a live set at Kaaos Festival in Hämeenlinna on July 24, 2026, delivering a live performance of their track Dragon Calling. Written and composed entirely by frontman Ryoji Shinomoto, who handled lead vocals and guitar duties, the track originally appeared on the 2019 studio album Asian Chaos under the group’s former moniker GYZE. The performance featured touring support from guitarist Timi Tonteri and bassist Petri Sara, along with long-time guest session drummer Teppo Ristola. Self-described as samurai metal, the band has steadily expanded its global footprint through major international festival appearances following their full rebrand to RYUJIN in collaboration with Napalm Records and producer Matthew Kiichi Heafy (Trivium).
