(Mugendai MewType) squeeze an anime-shaped universe into (Kore wa Bokutachi no Seizon no Arasuji — “This Is the Synopsis of Our Survival”), their fifth single, released September 30. The title track opens (BanG Dream! Yume∞Mita), with lyrics and music by UNISON SQUARE GARDEN bassist Tomoya Tabuchi and arrangement by Shota Horie—a credits combination worth pausing the opening sequence for.
The three-song package also includes the anime’s ending theme, (Uchū no Fushigi — “The Mysteries of the Universe”), and episode 13’s (Ai wa Shōdō — “Love Is an Impulse”). Opening, ending and an episode performance: impressively thorough coverage for something labelled a single. The CD adds instrumental versions of all three, giving arrangement detectives their own bonus assignment.
