Left — hailing from Kurume, Fukuoka and later Osaka where they cemented their lineup — have just dropped a fresh double single titled WESTPOINT, featuring the tracks “AKARI” (light/dawn) and “Mother”, with the latter now immortalized in a newly published music video. The WESTPOINT title evokes a conceptual vector — a point of origin from which the warm glow of AKARI and the grounding force of Mother radiate in contrapuntal fashion. Musically, the band taps into rich guitar textures and emotive lyricism, shrugging off indie obscurity and asserting their identity with renewed focus.
