Loud rock and metal meet botanical insubordination on ディアブルボア (Diablevoix)’s 桜花爛漫 (Ōka Ranman — “Cherry Blossoms in Full Bloom”): cherry-blossom season has apparently installed an October patch. Released October 2, the single shares its title with Haruka’s September birthday headline show at Shinjuku club SCIENCE. Her solo-idol project also performs with a full band, giving its identity one foot in idol culture and the other firmly on the pedalboard. The title’s four characters evoke flowers blooming in glorious profusion—an elegant flourish from a project whose established habitat is loud rock’s distortion garden.
