Dannie May released the music video for their track DAME DAME (No Good, No Good), serving as the lead track for their conceptual digital EP titled YOKAI. Formed in 2019, the three piece group features vocalist and guitarist Masa, vocalist and keyboardist Tanaka Tarira, and vocalist, DJ, and video director Yuno. Masa handled the songwriting and composition for the track, while Tanaka Tarira managed the arrangements, with the production exploring themes of modern internet society and human ego through the lens of modern yokai folklore. The fictional band name Dannie May combines a Western male name and a Japanese female name to represent an enigmatic entity, and this release marks another chapter following their landmark 3rd album MERAKI.
